Yesterday I spent the day getting my visa packet together and sent off to the Nigerian Embassy in DC. talk about intimidating! This is one tiny step closer to leaving for Nigeria on August 24th.
I prayed continually, while I was gathering the multitude of information about myself in neat little packets to send off. My desire above all else is to do what God has ordained for me to do. I desi to seek him continually, and not do anything out of my own selfish ambitions or desires, but because God has orchestrated it for me. So while I was praying over the packet as I drove to the post office, my prayer was not, "Lord, I hope this goes well, and that everything works out," but instead my prayer was "Lord, your will, not mine be done. If You have other plans for my life, make it clear. Don't allow this Visa to go through. Show me Your will for my life."
"The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for The Lord holds them by the hand." -Psalm 37:23-24
Wow LIz!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Are you going with an organization or on your own?
What will you be doing there?
I'll be praying God shows you very clearly what His will is for you!
